All Kinds of Girls
services
AKOG offers two programs for girls age 9-15 during Clark University's academic year. Our Fall semester takes place between October-December and our Spring semester takes place between January- April. AKOG programs occur on Saturdays from 11am-2pm in Atwood Hall at Clark University.

Our Younger Girls program serves 9-12 year olds. It is our largest program, with approximately 100 participants registered annually. The Girls program includes Theme Days intended to foster positive social connections and self-confidence.
Our Older Girls program serves 13-16 year olds. It provides a mature focus for our older participants. The Junior Mentor program includes Theme Days and is specifically designed to help participants develop strong leadership skills.

General Formats & Activities of AKOG
Each Saturday at AKOG has a different theme. The theme of the day is explored through interactive, educational, and fun activities. Participants are divided into groups based on age and Mentors lead their group through the day's activities. Past themes include: Culture Day, Friendship Day, HERstory Day, and Science Day.

AKOG meets from 11am-2pm every Saturday in Atwood Hall. Mentors are trained in mental health, youth mentoring, working with disabilities though AKOG-sponsored workshops.
AKOG's curriculum is tailored to the needs and interests of our participants every year. Our goal to support our participants so they can grow and express themselves.
Junior Mentors develop leaderships skills by facilitating activities for the Girls program and holding discussions within their program.

AKOG averages a nearly 1:1 mentor:participant ratio on a weekly basis.

Field trip opportunities
Parents and participants who are most comfortable speaking Spanish are welcome at AKOG. While our programs do not teach language skills, some Mentors typically have conversational knowledge of Spanish.
Always completely free-of-charge
AKOG has worked with University Police to develop comprehensive safety procedures in case of emergencies. Mentors are knowledgable about how to address fire, active shooter, and medical emergencies.
Community connections
AKOG takes participants on on-campus and off-campus field trips. Interested participants must register at least one week in advance to reserve a spot.
AKOG is a completely free program. Lunch and activities are provided to participants for no cost.
Participating in AKOG helps participants build connections at Clark University, in Worcester, and in Massachusetts. AKOG aims to show participants the depth of what the world has to offer while making it accessible to them.
