WELCOME TO OUR
PARENTS CORNER
Our Policies
All Kinds of Girls is dedicated to creating a caring and safe space for Girls and Junior Mentors to confidently develop their voices. We have developed Attendance, Behavioral, and Emergency Policies in order to set clear expectations for our positive community.
Attendance Policy
Please read this section carefully and feel free to contact AKOG’s Parent Contact, Celia Ringland, with any questions or concerns.
-
AKOG meets every Saturday between October 18 and April 25, with several exceptions during Clark University’s student breaks when a majority of mentors are off-campus.
-
Doors open at 11:00 AM, and our day begins promptly at 11:30 AM. Mentors will not be able to check-in AKOGers before 11:00AM, regardless of when they arrive at Atwood Hall. Upon arriving, Girls and Junior Mentors must visit the front desk to be signed in.
-
AKOG ends at 2:00 PM, and parents/guardians are expected to pick up their child promptly. Before leaving, Girls and Junior Mentors must visit the front desk to be signed out, regardless of whether a parent is picking them up or they are walking home.
-
Girls who are picked up after 2:15 PM will be considered late. AKOGers who are consistently picked up late will receive a warning, and if the problem persists, will be asked to leave AKOG. Mentors are volunteers with many responsibilities outside of AKOG, and therefore cannot consistently stay beyond their stated time commitment.
-
AKOG is currently unable to offer transportation options

Emergency Policy
Please ensure that your emergency contact information and the list of people that can pick up your child remains up to date. In an event of a medical emergency, AKOG will attempt to contact you. If we are unable to reach you and the situation requires it, we will call an ambulance and accompany your child to the ER. Furthermore, our mentors are mandated reporters that are legally required to report any areas of concern to campus police.
Behavior Policy
EXPECTATIONS:
-
AKOGers are expected to maintain a respective and attentive attitude toward their peers and mentors at all times. Bullying and intimidation will absolutely not be tolerated.
-
Cell phones are not needed at AKOG. If brought, they should be off and out of sight. If they become a distraction, they will be held at the front desk until pick-up at 2:00 PM.
-
Toys, food, and drinks will all be provided at AKOG and should not be brought from home. AKOG is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Any recovered items can be found in lost & found box located at the front desk until the end of the semester, when they will donated to the Clark Community Thrift Store.
-
AKOGers must remain in designated areas where Mentors can see them at all times. Bathrooms are not for playing or hiding, and should be used when leaving the group activity will not cause a disruption. The balcony is always off-limits.
